The First Day

So I have arrived safely in the Holy Land, our flights went smoothly. Only half of the group arrived today, the ones who flew through JFK are still currently stuck there because of the tornadoes. So I am happy that I was not on their flight. So here is a quick run down of what it has been like here.

The Jerusalem Center is beautiful and we have a million dollar view of the Old City and the Dome of the Rock. The architecture is really unique and our rooms are spectacular. We enter from the outside and we have a huge balcony overlooking the city.   Tomorrow we are taking a walking tour of the city and I cannot wait to get out and see all of the sights

We met with our professors today and I am really excited about my classes. This semester I am enrolled in Old Testament, Ancient Near Eastern Studies, Arabic, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Jewish Civilization, and Field Trips. We are taught by a Jewish professor and a Palestinian. It will be nice to get different viewpoints from people who actually live the religion and lifestyle.

Well I am exhausted and we have a big day tomorrow so I will keep you updated as best as I can. We aren't allowed to post pictures, so I am sorry to disappoint any of you.

New Name

So I had another name for this blog but then it hit me as I was looking at my Nice Jewish Guys calender that I should name my blog after it. Especially since I am going to Jerusalem, the name really fits.
I hope none of you are offended by this name but that you all appreciate the humor, if not blame Rob. He gave me the calender in the first place.
And by the way I just finished my first final and it went awesome except the fact that my teacher scheduled it for 8-10 pm on a Saturday night. She was trying to torture us but hey one final down 4 to go!! WOO HOO.

11 Days....

As I am sitting here in the library studying for my final which is in a few hours,  all I can think about is going to Jerusalem and how in 11 days I will be en route. All I have to get through is 5 finals in 5 days, pack up my entire apartment (which I haven't started yet), and pack my bags (which I have ZERO clothes for). Not to mention drive home, sleep, and enjoy the few days with my parents! I am a little stressed but it will all work out.

I can't wait to write on this blog for all (3 of you) who will be reading! Now back to studying Humanities and less thinking about Jerusalem
